⭐☆☆☆☆ Extremely Disappointing Experience at La Bohème
For a restaurant like La Bohème in West Hollywood, I expected much better food quality, service, and overall value. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from beginning to end.
Let’s start with the food. The quality was underwhelming, and some of the dishes tasted cheap and lacked the quality you would expect from an establishment of this caliber. The hash browns were particularly disappointing, tasting like frozen hash brown patties you could pick up at Trader Joe’s. For a restaurant charging premium prices, that is simply unacceptable.
The service was also painfully slow, making an already disappointing dining experience even worse.
But the most ridiculous part? The additional kitchen fee. Excuse me, but isn’t preparing and serving food the entire purpose of running a restaurant? The kitchen is an essential part of the establishment, not some unexpected luxury amenity that customers should be charged extra to use. If this fee is necessary, it should be clearly communicated and justified upfront rather than appearing as another questionable charge on the bill.
Between the underwhelming food, slow service, and unnecessary additional fees, the entire experience felt overpriced and underwhelming. When guests choose a restaurant like La Bohème, they expect quality, hospitality, and transparency—not mediocre food and surprise charges.
West Hollywood has plenty of dining options, and customers deserve better value for their money. La Bohème needs to seriously reconsider its food quality, service standards, and additional fees. Based on my experience, I would not rush back.
